Two teenagers have been charged after a 21-year-old man suffered “life-threatening injuries” in an attack in Trafford last weekend.

The incident happened at around 10am on Saturday 15 January at a commercial building on Upper Chorlton Road.

After reports of a stabbing, police rushed to the scene where they found a man seriously injured.

He is now recovering in hospital, where he is in serious but stable condition, a spokesman for GMP said.

An investigation later led police to an address in the Seymore Grove area of ​​Trafford where two teenagers were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Both appeared at Manchester City/Salford Youth Court yesterday, January 17.

A 16-year-old from Trafford has been charged with actual assault (ABH.)

A 15-year-old from Trafford was also charged with aggravated assault (GBH.)

The 16-year-old will next appear at Manchester Crown Court on February 10 and the 15-year-old on February 21, 2022.

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Mannion of GMP’s Trafford District previously said: “This was a horrific attack in broad daylight resulting in one man being seriously injured.

“I hope this sends a strong message to everyone involved in violent crime that this type of behavior will not be tolerated in our communities.”
