SERGIO AGUERO is undoubtedly a true Manchester City legend.
But their record scorer will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Rival Manchester United was sensationally linked with a stunning free transfer.
SunSport exclusively announced that La Liga giants Barcelona will do everything in their power to bring the legendary city forward.
Inter Milan have also emerged as contenders to bring the veteran striker to Italy.
But should United somehow win the race – and Aguero risk his reputation in the blue half of the city – he would join a select group of players to represent both Manchester clubs.
We take a look at seven of those who did this …
Carlos Tevez
The latest example of a player playing for both of them is the Argentinian cult hero Tevez.
During his time in England he was never too far from controversy – no more than when he traded Old Trafford for Etihad and that famous “Welcome to Manchester” billboard in 2009.
Tevez is one of the few who has achieved real success with both – he won the Premier League twice with United and once with City.

Peter Schmeichel
Arguably the greatest goalkeeper of all time, the Great Dane enjoyed the first eight years of his career under Sir Alex Ferguson.
During that time, Schmeichel played 398 times, scored one goal and won ten major awards, including the Treble in 1999, before joining Sporting Lisbon immediately.
Two years in Portugal was followed by a year at Aston Villa and in 2002/03 one last swan singing season with City.

Denis Law
With 404 United appearances, 237 goals, two league titles, an FA Cup, the European Cup and the 1964 Ballon d’Or, Law is undoubtedly an Old Trafford hero.
But on either side of his eleven seasons at Old Trafford, he had three seasons with City with a total of 79 appearances – originally with City in 1960 for a record fee of around £ 55,000 when the citizens signed Matt Busby’s United.

Brian Kidd
A product of the Manchester United Academy, Kidd joined the first team as a teenager and made the European Cup final on his 19th birthday.
After relegation, he moved to Arsenal in 1974, but two years later he was back with City in the northwest, where he spent three seasons and scored three against United in the 1977/78 season.
Since retiring, Kidd has had incredible success as an assistant at both Manchester clubs, including Ferguson and now Pep Guardiola.

Andy Cole
United signed Cole from Newcastle in January 1995 for a record British fee of £ 7m – £ 6m in cash plus £ 1m-valued Keith Gillespie – from Newcastle, starting with 12 goals in 18 games before the end of the season.
In total, he scored 121 goals in 275 games for the Red Devils and enjoyed an impressive strike partnership with Dwight Yorke – as well as healthy competition from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Teddy Sheringham.
After eight seasons, he had three years with Blackburn before spending one year a year in Fulham, Manchester City, Portsmouth, Sunderland and Nottingham Forest. At the end of 2008 he retired.

Owen Hargreaves
Andrei Kanchelskis made 133 appearances for the two Manchester clubs – 123 of them for United between 1991 and 1995 – but Hargreaves gets the nod on that list.
The English midfielder BT sports expert spent most of his career at Bayern Munich, but ended it in Manchester with the two clubs.
Four injury-related seasons at Old Trafford between 2007 and 2011 resulted in only 39 appearances – albeit with a double in the Premier League and the Champions League.
He made four games in another hot campaign at Etihad in 2011-12, though that season ended with a dramatic trophy lift thanks to that man Aguero.

Billy Meredith
Finally, Welsh international striker Billy Meredith deserves a special mention.
Meredith joined City in 1894 and scored 134 goals in 362 games before joining United in 1906, playing 335 games in 11 seasons on both sides of the First World War.
He then spent the last three years and 32 games of his club career at City – which means that he scored a total of 171 goals in 729 appearances for the two clubs.
