Disgruntled Manchester United fans have gathered at Old Trafford to protest against the club’s owners, the Glazers, following their European Super League conspiracy.

United were one of twelve clubs to announce that they would be taking part in a breakaway league that was looking to take on the UEFA Champions League and sparked mass reactions from fans, experts and politicians alike.

The response was so overwhelmingly negative that the six Premier League clubs involved – United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea – withdrew their support for the controversial plans just 48 hours after the initial announcement.

Ahead of the Premier League games, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal fans held protests throughout the week, while some United fans blocked the entrances to the club’s Carrington training base on Thursday.

To further express their dissatisfaction, more United fans arrived at Old Trafford on Saturday with banners held high and torches lit.

“Glazers Out”, “Enough is Enough” and “United Against Greed” were some of the feelings expressed.

On Wednesday, co-owner Joel Glazer wrote an open letter to fans apologizing for the damage caused by United’s involvement in the proposed breakaway competition. He vowed to build bridges with trailers.

Despite fan backlash, the Glaser reportedly have no intention of listening to offers for the club.

However, Ed Woodward will step down from his role as vice chairman of the board of directors of Manchester United at the end of the year.

But United legend Gary Neville, who loudly opposed the breakaway league’s proposal, has insisted that Woodward is just the “trunk of the tree” and wants glasses to sell out immediately.

“Ed Woodward is the trunk of the tree, we have to look for the roots now,” Neville said Tuesday night.

“While they were in the club and they never made a statement, never showed their hands, never held media conferences, yes, they took money out of the club, yes, they leveraged the club, nothing we can do about it. The club became a SPS .

“They attacked every single football fan in this country with what they did.

“The glaziers have no more place in Manchester.”
