In the run-up to the May 6th local elections, the Local Government Information Unit, a member organization of local government, has compiled a breakdown of this very information.

What can you get for 100 pounds in Trafford?

With data collected by the Government’s Department of Housing, Towns and Local Government, for every £ 100 council tax you pay, you can see exactly where the money is going.

The largest amount of money is pumped into the district’s education system – which is not too surprising when Trafford’s schools are so sought after.

A total of £ 52.55 per £ 100 goes to Trafford’s educational services – including paying faculty, special needs facilities and school supplies.

The next higher amount is for adult social care, including home or home care for the elderly or people with disabilities.

All of this data is sent to the government by the councils each year. This cost breakdown is based on the annual expenses of the general fund income account of the local authorities for the period 2019-20.

The expenditures were determined by calculating the percentage of expenditures for each service sector from the total expenditures.

The percentages were then rounded to the nearest decimal place and converted into British currency.

The total of the numbers in the infographic may not be exactly £ 100 due to rounding.
