BEN AMOS completed a free transfer to Wigan after allegedly turning down an emotional return to Manchester United.
The 31-year-old let his contract with Charlton Athletic expire before signing a two-year deal at DW Stadium.

The Addicks wanted to sign him again this summer, along with another of his former clubs, United, according to Mail.
The report adds that the Red Devils were interested in additional goalkeeping coverage, but Amos wanted to play regular football.
The former England U21 star made his way through the ranks at Old Trafford and made his debut in 2008 when Sir Alex Ferguson was 18.

He ended up making seven appearances for United, including one in both the Prem and Champions League, before heading out to new fields.
But after stints in Peterborough and Hull, among others, Amos has now signed a two-year contract with Leam Richardson’s Wigan.
On the club’s website, he said, “I’m delighted to have closed the deal and I’m looking forward to what’s to come.
“I think it’s exciting what’s going on in the club. We have almost a blank canvas, which is a great luxury for someone like the gaffer to put his own squad together.
“Not many clubs will have the opportunity to do that and you can already see he’s building the team the way he wants. I think we’ll be in great shape.
“It was really easy to chat with Leam. I got to know him and his employees and got on well.
“He told me his philosophy, how he wants to play and what he wants to do, and it was very easy.”
Amos was ubiquitous for Wigan’s league rivals Charlton last season, conceding 17 goals in 46 games.
