E.Europe’s largest golf retailer, American Golf, will open the UK’s high tech golf store at Trafford Golf Center in Trafford when the non-essential retail outlet reopens to the public on April 12th. The £ 650,000 store overhaul will include the UK’s first digitally controlled “Zen Green Stage” simulating real-world putting green slopes, as well as new state-of-the-art custom fit bays with GCQuad technology, as used by The World’s Greatest Golfers, including Dustin Johnson, number one in the world.
The unique Sky Green Stage, which is used in the Sky Sports TV studio, enables budding and experienced golfers to tackle an unlimited number of putts on ultra-real lawns while testing the wide range of men’s, women’s and children’s equipment.
Up to 15 new workstations will be created in the new store, where visitors can enjoy a free Custom Fit session in one of the three special high-tech customization bays. Sessions are led by an American Golf Custom Fit Specialist using the latest GCQuad launch monitor technology. The four ultra-high-speed cameras measure the swing of each customer to the sub-millimeter range. Extended putter fittings are available as well as a club check – like a TÜV for your own equipment.
In Lockdown, more people went to golf courses than ever before, including more women and children. Golf was a way for families to spend time together outdoors. As more people become involved in the sport, American Golf’s Trafford Store now offers a new starter experience, with a custom fit specialist providing advice on the basic kit needed to keep the game fun. Trafford Golf Center is the UK’s most popular golf course and home to the Academy. 10 PGA instructors offer coaching for all levels, from beginners to experienced golfers. The venue’s 53 bays include Power Tee and Toptracer. Refreshments are available from the hotel’s Starbucks coffee shop in your bay.

Trafford Golf Center will reopen to the public on March 29th, according to government guidelines. The new American Golf store will also open for Click & Collect on this day and will be fully open to the public on Monday, April 12, 2021.
