Chancerygate and Northwood Investors have been granted permission to develop a 16-unit scheme on the 5.6-acre former Maritime Transport Depot.
The joint venture lodged plans for the 120,000 sq ft multi-let scheme in June, its debut project together.
Located on the corner of Barton Dock Road and Park Road opposite Kellogg’s head office, the project would comprise four blocks designed by architect Fletcher Rae.
Block A would provide eight units totaling 42,050 sq ft. Block B would provide 42,130 sq ft across four units. Block C would provide another three units totaling 26,700 sq ft. The final block would feature a single 11,600 sq ft unit.
Hourigan Planning advised the joint venture on its debut development.
Chancerygate and Northwood joined forces last September with the aim of delivering speculative urban logistics products across the UK’s key cities.
The formation of the JV followed Northwood’s acquisition of an 11-asset Chancerygate portfolio in January 2021. The portfolio included the 215,000 sq ft Mersey reach project in Aintree.
Earlier this month, Chancerygate acquired Avro Business Park in Adlington from Quorum Property Group, where it plans to deliver a 165,000 sq ft industrial scheme in partnership with investor Bridges Fund Management.
