Wrexham AFC can confirm that goalkeeper Dawid Szczepaniak has signed a contract extension until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Polish-born Stopper, 21, signed a short-term contract over the summer and has now penned a contract extending his stay at the Racecourse Ground.

Szczepaniak has served as an understudy to fellow goalkeepers Rob Lainton and Christian Dibble since arriving at Wrexham in 2019 – he saved a penalty in the penalty shoot-out win over Ayr United in the Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup, his own appearance as a senior.

He will now continue working with Lainton, Dibble and goalkeeping coach Lee Butler after extending his contract with the club.

However, Canadian midfielder Charlie Trafford left the club after his fixed-term contract expired.

The well-travelled Trafford midfielder, 29, signed a short-term contract in October but is leaving the Racecourse Ground without making a senior appearance.

Everyone at Wrexham AFC wishes Charlie all the best for the future.
