The Eagles have already won at champions Manchester City this season and are unbeaten in their last three visits to Manchester United, most recently twice under Roy Hodgson.
After seven games without defeat, Vieira’s side have now lost the last two, against Aston Villa and Leeds, and face United, fresh after their 3-2 win over Arsenal and with new interim coach Ralf Rangnick on the sidelines for the first time.
“Of course we’re playing against a top team, it won’t be easy,” said Benteke. “But if we’ve done it in the past, why not do it again on Sunday? We’ll go there with the aim of winning.”

Belgian striker Benteke has been a huge benefactor of Vieira’s arrival at the Palace this season. The former Liverpooler may have missed a sitter against Leeds after coming off the bench but he is the club’s top scorer so far this season with four goals with Conor Gallagher.
“It’s completely different,” said Benteke when asked about the transition from Hodgson’s game to Vieira’s more revealing football.
“We play the way we play, we play harder and we put more pressure on. We’re following a process and so far it’s been going well. We can all still improve.”
