The US-hatched, fast-paced chicken brand was founded 17 years ago in Arkansas and has three locations in London as well as locations in Bluewater, Cardiff, Bristol, Southampton and Birmingham.
The brand was founded in 2003 by Tom Gordon and Greg Smart and currently operates more than 100 restaurants in the United States. The first UK location opened in Soho early last year under a franchise deal with Giraffe and Ed’s Easy Diner owner Boparan.
Manchester Restaurant, the third Slim Chickens to open this year, offers a menu of the restaurant’s hand-breaded, buttermilk marinated chicken tenders, hot wings and fresh sandwiches.
The menu also includes the 14 dipping sauces from Slim Chickens, including the signature sauce, blue cheese, honey BBQ, Sriracha garlic, Korean BBQ and ranch, as well as five side dishes such as fried cucumber and mac & cheese.
The drinks menu includes hand-spun shakes, Slims own beers and cocktails.
The Slim Chickens Trafford Center not only offers in-restaurant dining, but also Click & Collect and delivery via Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat.
Diners can download the Slim Chickens app to take advantage of an opening offer of three free chicken tenders * as well as ongoing rewards and privileges.
Designed by Harrison, the 2,527 m² site offers space for around 135 ceilings and is the first Slim Chickens restaurant to have its own bar.
The interior will allude to the brand’s US roots with exposed bricks and industrial beams, “which evoke a sense of a real Mediterranean restaurant while creating a welcoming social space”.
