Hundreds of Manchester United fans protested Glazer’s possession outside Old Trafford on Saturday after the club intended to join the breakaway European Super League.

Protests were a familiar sight in the Premier League this week after United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City announced their intention to join six more clubs in a European Super League.

The decision was met with great anger from fans who forced the clubs to turn around in their decision to join the league.

A large group of Chelsea fans gathered outside Stamford Bridge on Monday, delaying the kick-off of their game against Brighton. During the protests it was reported that Chelsea would not join the breakaway league, leading the other clubs to follow suit.

Despite the fact that plans for the league are now in tatters, the fallout has continued throughout the week as fans protest against the owners of their club.

United fans were particularly vocal when a group of supporters broke into the club’s training ground in protest of the glazier’s property.

On Tuesday, the club’s vice chairman Ed Woodward announced that he would be stepping down from his position at the end of the year.

Hundreds of Arsenal fans protested outside the Emirates Stadium ahead of the Everton game on Friday to ask owner Stan Kroenke to sell the club.

United won’t have a game on Saturday but will face Leeds United on Sunday.
