28-year-old cyclist fighting for his life after colliding with Trafford

A 28-year-old cyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and is hospitalized for treatment last night after an accident in Trafford.

He collided with a Volkswagen Scirocco at around 1:15 a.m. on Chorlton Road, near the intersection of Ayres Road

The driver stayed on site to assist the police in their investigation.

No arrests were made.

Police Constable Neil Pennington, GMP’s Serious Collision Division, said, “Our thoughts go with the man who has been seriously injured following this crash and is currently receiving urgent medical attention.

“We appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time, witnessed the collision, or saw the cyclist or the car before the collision, to come forward and support the police in our investigation. We are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who has dashcam footage at the time of the incident. ”
