He spent the campaign with the nearby League Two team Salford City.
Bernard played 29 missions for the Ammies and helped them to an eighth place.
Now that he has signed a new contract at Old Trafford, he is moving to East Yorkshire for his second temporary move.
The defender is now desperate to help Grant McCann’s Tigers secure second straight promotion as he prepares for his first taste of the championship.
Bernard said: “I am very excited to come to Hull City and hopefully it will be a very successful season for us.
“City are a very, very big club and they are used to playing in the Premier League and hopefully they can get back to that point and hopefully I can do my part to get them there.”
Bernard came through the youth ranks at United’s rivals Chelsea.
At the age of 16, he moved to the Red Devils and made his senior team debut in the Europa League duel with Astana in 2019.
The starlet was also part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team this preseason.
